Amy S. Goldberg, MA, LPC

My love of working with children began 25 years ago when I became a certified child life specialist and worked with hospitalized children and their families. Since then, my journey with children has evolved into a broader focus as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I am equipped to help children, adolescents, and their families navigate various challenges, including anxiety, stress, and trauma. Focusing on play therapy and resilience, I use a prescriptive approach to individualize my therapy style. I will work with you and your child to find the best approach for your unique situation, instilling confidence in your child’s emotional well-being and healing.

In my free time, I like to read, go for walks, be creative, and travel with my husband and daughter.

“Turning negative experiences into positive growth-producing ones.”

Resilience, a vital component of the 20 therapeutic powers of play, is the cornerstone of my practice. I firmly believe it’s one of the most crucial skills one can cultivate, and it guides my work with children and families.

Two of my favorite quotes are “I’m not lost; I am exploring” and “Feel the fear and do it anyway.” These have empowered me to overcome my obstacles in life.

Let’s work together to build resilience and empower your child to become the best version of themselves possible.
